What a blast we had meeting and photographing this cheeky and fun-loving pair. The minute we met Matt and Sephirah (aka Phi) at their engagement shoot we felt completely comfortable and that carried right through to their wedding. We loved the way they just did ‘their thing’ – from Phi wearing holster running shoes to be ultra comfortable and ready to bounce around in that stunning wedding gown, right through to having their own gorgeous little table for 2 set up at the reception so they could relax and enjoy each other’s company but still see all of their family and guests at the same time! Thank you so much for choosing us Phi & Matt you are such a fun-loving pair and make an awesome team!!!
Here’s what Phi & Matt had to say about their love-story and planning their wedding …
“We met online Sep 2015, relationship developed quickly and we were inseparable shortly after meeting. I whisked Phi off to the UK to meet my family in July 2016 and popped the question on the Palladian Bridge in Bath UK.
What was your wedding planning experience like. It was good and tried to stay as relaxed as possible. Best bit was choosing the venue and the food etc. worst bit was sorting out the fiddly bits like table plans, favours and invitations etc
What was most important to you when it came to your wedding plans? That everything was done together as it was our day.
What was your wedding dress search experience like? How did you know when you found ‘The One’? Wedding dress experience was in two parts. When I tried on my first dress in hindsight I didn’t get ‘the feelings’ and when it arrived it arrived it just wasn’t for me. Had just over 3 months to find second dress and when I found it I was over the moon and so happy that I made the decision to drop the first dress.
Did you complete any DIY projects for your wedding? Phi made home-made caramel for the wedding favours and I assembled them all. Matt also made the seating chart.
How did you style your ceremony and reception? Lots of green and a little bit rustic.
How did you choose the outfits for your bridesmaids and groomsmen? Bridesmaids, let them choose their own dresses that fitted in nicely with the colour scheme. This way everyone was happy and felt comfortable Grooms: Picked out a hire suit for them so could match the grooms suit.
What meaningful songs were played at your wedding? Not really, we had some great music but nothing specific as a couple.
What are your three best pieces of advice for other brides currently planning? Remember it’s all about you as a couple try not to get distracted by the noise from other people who try to push ideas on to you.
Anything else you would like to share? Weddings don’t have to be stressful, have fun doing it with each other and don’t stress over the little stuff.
